Brazil Pavilion — 61st International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia, Venice, Italy
Curated by Diane Lima, Comigo ninguém pode brings together works by Rosana Paulino and Adriana Varejão for the Brazilian Pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale. Taking the ambiguities of the homonymous plant as a metaphor for protection, toxicity, and resilience, the project unfolds a dialogue between the artists’ trajectories through reflections on colonial wounds, historical violence, and processes of memory reinscription. Across painting, sculpture, and installation, their practices articulate ongoing metamorphoses that open space for critical imagination and poetic liberation, positioning the pavilion as a powerful meditation on regeneration, resistance, and historical reconfiguration within contemporary Brazilian art.
