Gustavo Genta was born in Uruguay in 1971 and lives and works in Montevideo. A visual artist and designer trained at Uruguay’s Industrial Design Center, his practice spans sculpture, objects, mobiles, models, spatial interventions, and geometric abstraction. Influenced by Latin American Constructivism, Concrete art, and industrial design, his work explores form, movement, architecture, perception, and public space through geometry, balance, visual rhythm, and light.
His kinetic sculptures and abstract compositions engage with façades, interiors, lobbies, and urban environments, exploring tensions between stability and movement, materiality and lightness, repetition and variation. He has participated in exhibitions and projects across Latin America, including SP-Arte with Carbono Galeria. To date, no reliable public sources have been found confirming works by the artist in permanent museum collections.
