Kaláb (São Paulo, Brazil, 1985) lives and works in São Paulo. Emerging from graffiti and urban interventions during the late 1990s, the artist has developed a multidisciplinary practice encompassing painting, muralism, sculpture, installation, and public art. His work investigates geometry, movement, color perception, and architectural rhythm through compositions informed by concrete art, kinetic abstraction, and the visual dynamics of urban space.
Known internationally for his large-scale murals and immersive interventions, Kaláb constructs visual systems composed of intersecting lines, chromatic gradients, and geometric structures that activate public space through optical movement and spatial tension. His practice establishes a dialogue between abstraction and the experience of the city, transforming walls, buildings, and architectural surfaces into dynamic fields of color and rhythm.
Drawing from both Brazilian constructive traditions and contemporary street culture, the artist develops works that oscillate between precision and improvisation, structure and fluidity. Through modular repetition and carefully calibrated compositions, Kaláb explores relationships between body, architecture, and collective perception, creating environments that challenge conventional distinctions between institutional art and urban intervention.
Kaláb has participated in exhibitions, public commissions, and urban art projects throughout Latin America, Europe, and the United States, consolidating an international career marked by the expansion of geometric abstraction into contemporary public space.
