Visual and performance artist Lidia Lisbôa studied metal engraving at the Lasar Segall Museum, contemporary sculpture at the Brazilian Museum of Sculpture (MUBE), ceramics at the São Paulo School of Arts and Crafts and Art History at the São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP).
Her artistic practice extends across sculpture, engraving, painting, sewing, and crochet, positioning her work at the intersection of art object, performance, and ritual. Lisbôa’s unique poetics unfold into performative actions, with textile pieces operating as a crucial element in her performances. This eloquent use of fabric becomes a structural cornerstone, weaving together autobiographical, territorial, and ancestral themes.

Her works are housed in esteemed collections such as ISLAA – Institute for Studies on Latin American Art in New York, Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, and Museu de Arte do Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre.
