Artur Lescher is a Brazilian sculptor born in São Paulo in 1962. He studied Philosophy at PUC-SP and attended free courses in the studios of artists such as Carlos Fajardo, Flávia Ribeiro, and Boi. From 1991 to 1999, he taught Sculpture at the Santa Marcelina Faculty in São Paulo.

His work investigates matter, form, space, and thought through materials such as metal, stone, wood, brass, copper, water, olive oil, and salt. Lescher’s sculptures often evoke familiar objects while removing their practical function, opening them to symbolic and poetic interpretations. His installations establish a strong dialogue with architecture and space, as seen in projects presented at the São Paulo Biennial and major Brazilian institutions.

In recent years, Lescher has held important solo exhibitions at Instituto Artium, Farol Santander, Estação Pinacoteca, and Almine Rech Gallery in Paris. His works are part of prominent collections, including MALBA, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, confirming his relevance within Brazilian contemporary art.
