Guilherme Santos da Silva was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1987, where he lives and works. A self-taught visual artist, he began his career painting walls and façades in urban spaces, later developing a practice centered on painting, drawing, and compositions that bring together geometry, memory, landscape, and everyday experience. His work combines references to urban culture, vernacular architecture, geometric abstraction, and personal, emotionally resonant narratives, creating images that move between figuration, symbolic space, and dreamlike atmospheres. In his works, fields of color, structural lines, and architectural or landscape elements are used to reflect on belonging, displacement, identity, and the social imagination.
He has participated in exhibitions and art fairs in Brazil, including presentations at ArtRio with Janaina Torres Galeria and the solo exhibition Pra Vela Não Se Apagar in São Paulo, curated by Alexandre Araujo Bispo. To date, no reliable public sources have been found confirming the presence of the artist’s works in permanent museum collections.
