Ivan Ferreira Serpa was a Brazilian painter, designer, printmaker and educator who was active in the concrete art movement. Much of his work was in geometric abstractionism. He was one of the most important contributors to Brazilian Concretism and Neoconcretism. As well as geometric constructions, he also made several neo-expressionist paintings in the 1960s (the "Negro Period" and the "bichos" paintings).
