Juanito Conte (b. 1982, Salto, Uruguay) is a Uruguayan visual artist based in Montevideo. Working across painting, installation, and graphic experimentation, his practice is characterized by intense color, abstraction, dynamic compositions, and an exploration of contemporary image culture. Combining manual processes, print-related references, and elements of urban and media culture, his work investigates perception, memory, visual saturation, and the circulation of images.
Active professionally since 2000, Conte has exhibited in Uruguay and internationally, including Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, the United States, and Spain. In 2010, he represented Uruguay at the 2nd Guayaquil Painting Biennial in Ecuador and has participated in projects including the Salto Biennial and exhibitions at the Museo de Bellas Artes de Salto. His works are held in private collections internationally.
