Kelton Campos Fausto was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1996, and lives and works in the Global South. A multidisciplinary visual artist, they have developed a practice spanning painting, video, ceramics, and performance, bringing together spirituality, embodiment, territory, the Brazilian diaspora, and non-hegemonic ways of understanding reality. As the founder of the platform and collective BRASILÂNDIA.CO, they create images, scenes, and spiritual spaces permeated by Afro-diasporic symbols, organic matter, Black cosmologies, and relationships between body, land, and ancestry. In recent works, they use natural pigments, acrylic paint, ceramics, and painting supports to create compositions that operate between symbolic figuration, sensory abstraction, and visual rituality.
They have participated in exhibitions such as Ègbé ọ̀run Ẹgbẹ́ àiyé at A Gentil Carioca in Rio de Janeiro; Quando Tudo Terra Era at HOA in São Paulo; POVO DA PALHA + REEDIFICAR CURAÇÃO at Centro Cultural São Paulo; and Dos Brasis: Arte e Pensamento Negro at Sesc, as well as presentations at art fairs including Frieze New York 2025, SP-Arte, and ARCOmadrid 2026. To date, no reliable public sources have been found confirming the presence of Kelton Campos Fausto’s works in permanent museum collections.
