Jorge Guinle Filho pursued his artistic education at the École des Roches in Paris from 1958 to 1963, followed by his studies at the Grande Chaumière Academy in 1969. Starting in 1973, he held numerous solo exhibitions within Brazil and also showcased his work on the international stage, predominantly in group exhibitions that featured contemporary art from Brazil and Latin America. In 1984, he actively participated in the exhibition “Como Vai Você, Geração 80?” at the Parque Lage School of Visual Arts in Rio de Janeiro. Jorge Guinle Filho also made notable appearances at the Salão Nacional de Artes Plásticas in 1979, 1981, 1982, and 1983, as well as at the São Paulo Biennial in 1983, 1985, and 1989. In a 1982 interview with Frederico Morais, he expressed, “I wanted to encompass everything within the painting until it dropped like a ripe fruit to the ground.”
