Eleonore Koch’s art, emerging from the mid-20th century, has recently gained global acclaim for its introspective and distinct style, diverging from contemporary trends yet profoundly captivating. Her work exudes a subtle elegance and evocative nature, exploring themes ranging from London’s parks to intimate interiors and still lifes. Koch employs the meticulous egg tempera technique, reminiscent of the Renaissance, to achieve precise compositions and nuanced colors. Influenced by her mentor Alfredo Volpi, she demonstrates a meticulous craftsmanship and a keen painterly eye, focusing on portraying everyday scenes authentically rather than through symbolism.
Her work is included in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art of USP – MAC USP, Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo and the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo – MAM SP.
