Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler

Carlo Hauner (1927–1996) and Martin Eisler (1913–1977) were influential figures in the development of modernist design in Brazil. Hauner, originally from Italy, and Eisler, from Austria, brought their European design sensibilities to Brazil, where they co-founded the furniture company Forma in the early 1950s. Their collaboration led to the creation of iconic pieces that combined European modernism with Brazilian materials and craftsmanship.
