Maintaining its status as the foremost art fair in the Hispanic world, ARCO Madrid is a major international event. The 2024 edition of the fair, its 43rd, showcased 250 galleries from 36 countries, notably many from Latin America, particularly Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. With 400 collectors and 200 professionals from 40 countries in attendance, the event solidified its importance to the growth of the Latin American art market.

Sales at ARCO Madrid usually range around hundred thousand of dollars; however, the fair also offers a chance to discover new artists gaining recognition in prominent institutional collections and to acquire their art. Private initiatives and specialized exhibitions targeting the Latin American market highlight Madrid’s dynamic and promising position as a hub, solidified by this event.

In 2025, the fair celebrates its 44th edition with the Amazon as its central theme. The curatorial project, entitled Wametise: ideas for an Amazofuturism, will be developed in collaboration with the Institute for Postnatural Studies. The program proposes reflections on new forms of creation that represent hybrid existences between human, plant, physical and metaphysical bodies.
