Deserto-Modelo by Lucas Arruda

This major retrospective presents paintings, films, and installations by Brazilian artist Lucas Arruda, spanning multiple phases of his career, including new works created especially for the show. Occupying the entire floor of the temporary exhibition space, the exhibition explores Arruda’s fascination with landscapes, perception, memory, and the interplay between light, abstraction, and figuration.

Titled Deserto-Modelo, a reference to João Cabral de Melo Neto’s poetry, the show highlights Arruda’s meditative approach to painting, a search for timeless space and inner experience through color, light, and form.
