Date: February 5 – March 27, 2026
Peter Blum Gallery, New York, USA
Curated by Auttrianna Ward, In Relation to Stillness brings together works by Abigail Lucien, Manuel Mathieu, Malcolm Peacock, Tadáskía, and Sarah Zapata in an exhibition that approaches stillness as a relational, process-based condition rather than a fixed state. Across diverse materials and gestures, the show foregrounds practices rooted in repetition, material patience, and temporal depth, resisting immediacy while sustaining conceptual intensity. Brazilian artist Tadáskía stands out for her cosmological visual language, where drawing, writing, and symbolic abstraction converge to channel diasporic memory, spirituality, and introspective knowledge systems, expanding the exhibition’s meditation on stillness into a metaphysical and ancestral dimension.
