In 2025, MALBA, with Rodrigo Moura, former chief curator of El Museo del Barrio in New York and Instituto Inhotim in Minas Gerais, as its new curator, presents the exhibition Yo, Vos y la Luna by Tunga, one of the great names in Brazilian contemporary art, represented nationally by Galeria Millan and internationally by Luhring Augustine.
Curated by María Amalia García and Nancy Rojas and from the Sarina Tang Collection, the installation explores themes such as time and transformation, using elements such as stones, mirrors, crystals and a fossilized trunk. The exhibition also includes a 2015 documentary and 36 drawings from the Tunga Institute, which delve into the central concepts of the artist’s work.
