The exhibition of one of the most relevant Brazilian artists of the 150th century “Lygia Clark: Project for a planet” occupies the seven galleries of Pina Luz with more than 30 works that demonstrate the legacy of the artist’s more than XNUMX years of career and celebrates her centenary, presenting works such as Project for a planet(1960) – from the series Bichos, which gives the exhibition its name.
Lygia Clark (1920-1988) is one of the most important names in contemporary Brazilian art, part of a generation responsible for expanding languages, establishing links with sociocultural issues and engaging all people, whether artists or not, in the transformative experience of creating .
Titled after a copy of the famous series of Bichos (1960s), responsible for expanding the possibilities of modern sculpture, making it flexible and participatory, the exhibition establishes a path that makes the sensitive experience the starting point for the most varied types of construction.
