About Sophie Su

Sophie Su is a true citizen of the world, shaped by her multicultural heritage; French, Asian and Latin American; and an insatiable passion for art and travel. Navigating seamlessly between cultures, she has made it her mission to discover, understand, and share the intricacies of the art world with collectors and connoisseurs alike.

In Sophie’s life history, art, expertise and passion converge. Her journey began with rigorous training as an auctioneer at Hôtel Drouot, where she developed a keen eye for art and objects across various periods and styles. She then honed her expertise at the Beyeler Foundation, one of Europe’s most prestigious institutions, where she delved into private collection management and art brokerage while overseeing press relations for the foundation’s exhibitions.

With a 360-degree perspective on the art world, spanning auctions, institutional settings, and the private market, Sophie took on leading gallery management roles in Porto Cervo, Saint-Tropez, and Gstaad, immersing herself in the international art trade at the highest level.

In 2013, driven by her deep passion for Brazilian and Latin American art, she made the bold move to Brazil, where she co-founded three companies, establishing a thriving triangular art commerce between Brazil, France, and the United States.

Today, Sophie is a key player in the global art market. She specializes in international valuations in Brazil, curating high-profile acquisitions and sales for collectors worldwide. Her unparalleled knowledge of the industry’s inner workings allows her to identify niche markets and strategically place artworks within prestigious collections across the globe.

Understanding the opacity of the art market, Sophie has also taken on the role of a trusted market analyst, providing in-depth reports on major art events and sales. By offering transparency and valuable insights, she empowers collectors to make informed decisions in an ever-evolving market.

Beyond transactions, Sophie Su is dedicated to creating unique and immersive experiences for her collectors. Recognizing that art is more than just an asset—it is a journey, a story, a connection—she has expanded her expertise to include the curation of exclusive exhibition openings and bespoke cultural events. Her commitment to offering collectors privileged access to the art world has led to her involvement in major exhibitions, such as Tarsila do Amaral retrospective at the Musée du Luxembourg, in Paris (2024) and at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao (2025) as well as Lygia Clark retrospective at Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin (2025).
